11:30 am - Ethan Hobbs' farewell for his mission

12:45 pm - Ethan set apart as a full-time missionary to the Tujillo NorthPeru Mission or whatever mission the is assigned to work by President Ryan McNeil of the  Fresno North California Stake.

David Meine called, and as we talked, I went on Temple Portal and accepted covering for his shift on Tuesday, Feb. 17th, from 9:15 am to 2:00 pm.

I got up at 7 am, had prayer, showered, shaved, and when Debbie got up we had prayer together.  While Debbie showered and got ready I drove over and picked up Ethan's cookies that Rae Lynn had made.  I took a picture of them.  The lady who made them brought the cookies out to the truck.  Rae Lynn cooked eggs with cheese, bacon, and cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  The boys and Rae Lynn cleaned the kitchen.  Debbie printed or wrote my note I gave her to write on Ethan's card that goes with his present we got for him at Deseret Book Store.  I went with Luke and Owen early to save seats for all the family to the Dry Creek Ward Sacrament meeting.  Bishop Corey Greenlaw is doing a good job with the youth.  Owen helped set up the bread and water for the Sacrament. Brody helped pass the Sacrament. Owen was the first speaker in Sacrment meeting.  Ethan was the next speaker.  They both gave good talks.   Michael's mother, Patt, her husband Reg Salsman, Patt's brother Mike Horsley, and wife, Carol, came.  After the meeting, we met with the President Ryan Neil in the North Fresno Stake's High Council room.  He reviewed the MTC rules since their home will be Ethan's Mission Training Center for the next week.  Brett and I stood in the circle with President McNeil set Ethan apart as a full-time missionary to the Tujillo North Peru Mission.  We took pictures in front of the ward and stake building, and when we got home, the house was set up for the party, and the food was set out.  Everyone visited, Debbie had to go to her GEPOD dinner at Lodi, California.  Her meeting is tomorrow morning.  Beth and the children left for home in San Clemente.  Rae Lynn, Luke's girlfriend,  Marlee Hard watch TV.  Brett and Brody came down, and everyone watched the Chicago Bears lose to the LA Rams football game in overtime.  Later, when Luke and Owen got home from the Bishop's Fireside, and everyone was home and playing a game, I gave him a card and a present, printed spiritual thoughts from Debbie and me, which he can put on the stand in his room on his mission.  "HOORAY - For You!

And for this day, the Lord has given you to set your foot on the straight and narrow path as a servant of the Most High.  There are billions of people here on this earth not knowing who they are, what they are doing here, or where they are going.   The Lord loves them and wants them to know Him.  He will help you find and teach them the truths they may not know they are looking for.  Just love them, all of them, be patient, and the Lord will guide you and send His Holy Spirit to bear witness to the truths you have been given to share with them and all the world.

Grandma Debbie and I love you and are so thankful for this day in your life and to be here to share it with you.
