31 May 2026, Sunday  Priorit ized Daily Task  Note: Lori Newbold said, "A prayer is the soul's sincere desire". (Text by James Montgomery, 1771–1854). I kept asking the Lord for a husband and for children, and He did not give me what my soul desired.  After years, I quit praying and asking because I did not want to get to the point in my life where I resented the Lord, and I knew I would if I kept praying for a husband and the experience of giving birth to children.  (This helps me, James Leonard McAlpin, to always thank the Lord for everything, good and what I may think as bad, that comes in my life; even unanswered prayers). Loei Nwqvols is a very successful working woman's opinion of motherhood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc09qEPPBcs Motherhood is not a hobby; it is a calling. Pray to Heavenly Father, ask Him what He wants me to do to help Him raise His children and His grandchildren, not mine. Up at 6:30 am, had prayer, let Debbie sleep, and studied scr...

30 May 2026, Saturday  Priorit ized Daily Task  Note:  Faith is a choice, not a chance.  Faith is in Christ,   not in outcomes.   Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego were sentenced  to be thrown into the fiery furnace for not worshiping the 90-foot gold statue Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon had built.  They said to the king, we know you can throw us in the furnace, but we know our God can save us.  But if He does’t, we still will not bow down and worship your god.   Daniel 3 I liked the way sister Lori Newbold likened the scriptures unto herself by putting herself in the place of Naomi, and Naomi in the place of Jesus Christ. Ruth said to her mother-in-law, Naomi, I will not leave you and go back to the places and people from where I came.  Where you go, I will go, where you lodge, I will lodge, your people shall be my people, your God my God, and more also, and nothing can part me from you, not even death.  Ruth 1:14-18...

I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." — Thomas Edison Big  Shoes to Fill —the idiom used when someone feels pressure to perform as well as their predecessor. Example Joshua following Moses, who had led the people of Israel out of Egypt with all the plagues that accompanied their departure, along with the destruction of the Egyptian army in the Red Sea.  John Adams followed George Washington as President of the United States of America.  George Washington, who led a small ragtag army of colonists in defeating the mightiest army in the world.  Some have filled the shoes of their predecessors, and others who have not.  I have never been concerned about...

Bank for EIN for Floyd and White NHs Note:   Having freedom without limits is being free from God's restrictions and has no moral standard.  Then the freedom of the strong becomes the slavery of the weak.   The Book of Judges in the Old Testament is an example of this. No political system can save a society.   "When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing; they then become capable of believing in anything." G.K. Chesterton If you don't choose to put God first in your life, it won't matter what you put in second place. 24 May 2026, Sunday  Priorit ized Daily Task  12:00 pm Lehi 7th Ward Church services 2:10 pm  Roger Harmon and I have a ministering interview with PH Leader 12:00 pm - Church in Wellsville Flowers on graves in Utah and Idaho Note: All our gospel questions can not be answered; they are not intended to be answered. President Oaks said if we had answers to all our questions, then faith would not be required, but faith is required.  "Doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith" is a famous quote by Elder Dieter F.   23 May 2026, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task  12:00 pm - Hale Theater, Hallmark NOTE: 2025 Statistical Report at April 2026 General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 17,887,212 total members; 32,046 wards and branches; 78,595 full-time missionaries; 204 temples in operation. David Camacho:   This really hits. I spend most of my time working with data, and it’s a good reminder that these aren’t just numbers—they represent real people, real choices, and real change. I’m honestly grateful to be a member of this church and to see how faith and service show up in lives all over the world. Note:  As the Lord touched the stones for the Brother of Jared and they gave light, so the people would not have to cross the great waters in darkness.  (Ether 3) He can touch you as well, if you will let Him, and if you do, you will shine.  Neither you nor those who travel with you will cross the great waters of life in darkness.  Rece...

Note:  "I don't like that man.  I should get to know him better."  Abraham Lincoln. I thought of a man I felt this way about; I wrote about him in my journal, Fridayi August 18, 1989. "Bob Boice is the grandfather. He may have his faults; we all do, but it was very impressive to me to see his wife, Philis, and all their children: Rob, Scott, Joy, and Lori with their spouses and children. Penny, Rob's wife, was the only one not there. All the children have been married in the temples. No divorces. And all the grandchildren have been baptized when they are 8 years old. Both sons served missions. They now have some heartache  - they lost their oldest daughter to cancer. I feel fortunate to know him."  Debbie and I had prayer and got ready to drive to th...
