Take Matthew, Melodie, and the girls to the Provo Airport to catch their flight home to San Diego at 7 am.

12:00 noon - Lehi 7th Ward church services (2 hours)

Up this morning at 4:30 am, had personal prayer, and got ready for the Sabbath Day.  Melodie got up and had some toast, and Matthew slept on the couch so Melodie could sleep.  He tosses and turns, which keeps her awake.  The girls started getting up between 5:00 am and 5:45 am.  Matthew loaded the Tesla and put the Razor Snow Scrapper back in the garage.  We rode down to the Provo  Airport and dropped the family off.  I drove back home, and they flew to Orange County John Wayne Airport.  Matthew drove home to San Marcos.  When I got home, Debbie was sleeping so I went back to bed.  Later we got up;  I showered,  shaved, and got dready for church.  We attended Sacrament and Sunday School.  Our lessons this year will be from the Old Testament. Note:  Debbie reminded me of the 3 types of covenants mentioned in the Bible: the shoe, salt, and blood covenants. 

Shoe Covenant - ancient Israelite customs, primarily in Deuteronomy 25 and Ruth 4, where exchanging or removing a sandal symbolized legal transactions like land redemption or the levirate marriage (marrying a deceased brother's widow) to confirm agreements, signifying giving up rights to walk on the land or fulfill family duty, often resulting in public acknowledgment or shame. It was a formal attestation, a legal seal for land sales and family obligations, proving ownership or responsibility. 

Salt Covenant - a covenant not to be broken.  Hebrew me carried salt bags on their belt and would take a pinch of salt out of their bag and put it in the other man's salt bag.  Then the other man would do the same with salt from his bags into the other's salt bag.  The break, change, or alter the covenant they would have to come back together and spread the salt on a table.  Then they would have to pick all their salt crystals out and put them back in their bag.  (Numbers 18:19) and the Davidic kings (2 Chronicles 13:5)(Numbers 18:19) and the Davidic kings (2 Chronicles 13:5)

Blood Covenant - Two men would cut a cow, goat, or other animal in half and make a covenant by walking through the two halves, repeating the words of their vows or covenant.  To break the covenant the two parties would have to come back to the same spot and disavow the covenant they had made; the two halves of the animal would have to come back together again, and all three would walk off.  Abraham (Genesis 15): God established a covenant with Abram by having him cut animals in half, signifying that if the promise was broken, the party breaking it would suffer a similar fate, with God walking through as a sign of His commitment. Moses & Israel (Exodus 24)

We got home and called the children I could reach, Debbie and I broke our fast at about 5:00 pm and had dinner.  I got to bed about 9:30 pm.  Debbie stayed up and wroted an email to some of the children.
