Prioritized Daily Task - Kyoto

7:00 am Check out of the Westin Hotel

Luggage forwarding to Kyoto hotel

Hotel: JW Marriott Hotel Nara

9:03am- Bullet train from Tokyo Station to Kyoto Station (2.25 hours)

■ JR Yamanote Line → Tokyo Station (25 min)

Late morning/Lunch: Nishiki Market

■ Kyoto Station, Karasuma LIne → Shijo Station

■ Try skewers, tempura, tamagoyaki, mochi

4:30pm- sunset: Walk Gion

■ Taxi (10 min)

■ Walk Hanamikoji Street, Shirakawa Canal, Yasaka Shrine area.

■ Sunset/golden hour is beautiful

Dinner: Pontocho Alley

■ Short walk from Gion (across the river)

■ Narrow lantern-lit alley

Train to Nara

■ Kyoto Station → Nara Station, JR Nara Line (45 min)

■ Taxi from Nara Station → Hotel (10 min)

Up at 5;00 am, prayer, shower, shaved, and packed suitcases to be shipped to the second hotel we will be staying at on Sunday.  Debbie showered, and when she got ready, we had prayer. together.  We checked out of the Westin Marriott and checked our bags to Westin near the airport.  We will get them before we depart Japan for the USA.  We caught a commuter train to Tokyo Shinjuku Station, the businest rail way station in the world, and caught the bullet train to Kyoto Station.
